ParaHours is a free iPhone timesheet app for the person who keeps the hours for a team of paraprofessionals, paraeducators, and instructional aides. Clock staff in and out or enter hours later, and let the app handle unpaid breaks and rounding.
Who it's for
SPED coordinators, school office managers, and site supervisors who end up keeping the timesheets for paraprofessionals (also called paraeducators, instructional aides, or teaching assistants). What it does
- Clock in, or enter later. Clock staff in and out live, or type in a day's hours afterward. Split shifts and multiple breaks all land in the same timesheet.
- Payroll rules, handled automatically. Set your rounding rule (exact, 5, or 15 minutes) and your unpaid-break policy once, including the hours threshold that triggers the deduction. Every entry follows it.
- Real weekly history. Every week is saved on its own. Look back at any past week for any staff member.
- More than one building. Track staff across schools and grade levels, and group or sort the roster by site, grade, role, or who needs attention first.
- Exports for payroll. CSV, PDF, or RTF (Word-compatible) reports for a week, a full pay period, or any date range.
- Pay period reminders. Set your cadence and close date, and get a heads-up as it approaches.

Private by design
ParaHours runs entirely on your device. There's no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics, and it doesn't need an internet connection. Your roster and hours never leave your phone unless you choose to export or share them. The app holds no student data at all. Read the full privacy policy.
Common questions
Which phones does it work on? iPhones running iOS 18 or later. It isn't built for iPad or Android.
Does it work for paraeducators and instructional aides? Yes. It tracks hours for any hourly school staff member. The terms are different in different districts, but the timesheet math is the same.
Do the staff I track need to install anything? No. ParaHours is for the person keeping the timesheets, and the staff don't need an account or the app.
Can I try it before paying? Yes. Tracking is free. You can load sample data to explore before adding your real roster.
